Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers by 9 wickets

The Mumbai Indians registered their second successive victory in IPL 4, as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by nine wickets. Sachin Tendulkar scored an impressive unbeaten fifty.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to field first. Royal Challengers could manage to score just 140/4 in 20 overs. Dilshan was the top scorer with 59, while AB de Villiers scored 38. Malinga and Pollard took two wickets each.

Chasing a victory target of 141, Mumbai Indians started on a positive note. D Jacobs scored 22 off 16 balls. After his departure, Tendulkar and Rayudu added unbeaten 110 runs for the second wicket.

Mumbai Indians reached 143/1 in 18.3 overs. Tendulkar remained unbeaten on 55 off 46 balls, while Rayudu remained not out on 63 off 50 balls. Tendulkar was declared as the 'Player of the Match'. However, Sachin made a great gesture and shared his award with Rayudu.
